I'm one of those people who like companies who are really engaged with their customers. I just have noticed that a lot of companies that make (chat software) is fading away or closing their doors.
I know development isn't an easy task it requires money, time, testing, etc! I just know that there is still a lot that can be done to improve AVChat. However I'm only one person and I know it's going to probably take more people to voice their ideas, etc! to get things done.
I also noticed there doesn't seem like a lot of customers that are engaged with the AVChat product. Most people seem to buy the software and that's it. However as site administrators we all don't run with the same settings, rules, etc!
I have a few people who use our site and would say things like: I feel like the rooms list could be improved as it looks like an excel document. I couldn't agree more. I feel like there could be a lot of improvements with both skins/themes as mentioned in another post of mine on here. There is just a lot regarding colors we can't control to really make the software our own to go with our site. I really think the menu especially for admins with A/V enabled the menu list is too long and cluttered. I have mentioned the possibility of cleaning that up by making a "Moderation" sub menu. So all moderator / admin controls are moved there.
I have mentioned room management improvements. I would love for both customers and staff to contribute to making AVChat better so I hope that my videos would inspire existing customers to voice their concerns and let's try to make this program better than what it already is.
I've been using chat software for over 18+ years and the software back in the day would beat any chat program created today, which is sad. Considering we have now mobile platforms, etc! but yet you figured 18 years later some one would have created something bigger / better. I just feel like no one wants to put the effort into anything anymore like things were 18 years ago.
My goal is to see success for both AVChat and the consumers. Like I said we all have different ways of running things.
So if anyone has ideas or response to the videos below feel free to post your thoughts or your own ideas that could help improve AVChat. Please note that the first video is about 30 minutes long but I feel like there is some great ideas and some of the ideas are from programs 18 plus years ago.
I think at the moment my main focus would be a few UI improvements and giving us better control over the themes / skins. There isn't a lot of color options that actually work as the way it is now is just very, very limited.
